A traffic accident at the intersection of Gloucester Parkway and Marblehead Drive in Ashburn resulted in a helicopter fly-out to Inova Fairfax Hospital Oct. 21 at 9:14 a.m., according to a report released by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Working with so many clients relocating to Loudoun over the years, I had plenty of opportunity to see firsthand how much of a role commuting distance played in the homebuying decision. With so many residents of Loudoun commuting to Herndon, Reston, Tysons/McLean, and into DC itself, the amount of time spent trying to get from place to place is a huge consideration on where you want to live.

On Monday, Oct. 20 around 7 a.m., an unknown subject removed PVC trim from three construction sites at White Yarrow Court and Heather Mews Drive in ashburn. On Tuesday, Oct. 21 around 5 p.m., an unknown subject removed copper wiring and copper lines from HVAC units at a construction site at Cushendall Terrace in Aldie.

An 18-year-old Leesburg man faces animal cruelty charges after allegedly stabbing his family's dog in the neck, according to Loudoun County Animal Services. The dog is currently recovering from injuries sustained during the incident and has since been returned to the home after being treated by a local veterniarian.

A Sterling man held on a fugitive of justice warrant from Indiana faces felony drug charges after attempting to run from a Loudoun deputy Saturday. A deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle at the Sterling Boulevard/Church Road area of Sterling around 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

A woman arrested earlier this year on prostitution-related charges is facing new charges involving children, and authorities are looking for witnesses in the case, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Natalita N. Davis, 43, is charged with five felony counts of taking indecent liberties with children in her custody.
